Up for sale is our tracked Challenger 85E. The tractor is in good shape for the age and has very low hours for a 2000. The tractor has had an easy life pulling a land leveler for a sod farm and a 12 yard pull pan. The last 150 hours on the machine was used pulling a 7400 gallon water wagon.
The machine was always serviced at Foley Tractor in Wichita, KS before we bought it. We have had it for the last 150 hours and we serviced it with all Cat filters and oil before we put it out in the field. Our full service included transmission, final drives, engine, hydraulic, coolant, and rear end. We also greased the driveline.
Coolant system was flushed with distilled water and re-filled with Caterpillar Extended life coolant (ELC). All oils were drained and replaced with our full service. The AC system was also checked, oiled and re-charged back in August.
We changed all the lights that were burned out or cracked, as well as the windshield wiper reservoir and windshield wipers. The windshield is cracked but it never bothered us so we didn't replace it.
We probably spent $2500 in the fill service of the entire machine and misc. parts
Undercarriage is in really good condition, the tracks have some life left in them(I tried to show them in the pictures)
The 4 remotes on the rear of the tractor were also leaking a little bit when we bought it so we rebuilt them and replaced all the little O-rings and seals. We had an EPA job that wouldn't allow any oil seepage on site so anything that even looked like oil we replaced or re-sealed it.
The tractor is a bare back and includes the land leveler hitch.
If you have any questions or would like to view the tractor please feel free to call me at anytime. Tractor is located one block from Foley Tractor in Wichita. We bought the tractor for one job and it worked flawlessly, it is too big for any of our other jobs. This is why we are selling..... It is a lot of Horsepower and tractor for the money.
