For Sale By Sealed Bid: The City of Smith Center KS will be retiring their C50 Chevy truck, that was purchased new in 1972 for their volunteer fire department. As part of a recent upgrade in equipment, this will be the final truck to be retired and will be offered to the highest sealed bid. The truck is equipped with a 366 V8 gas engine, power steering, standard 5-speed transmission (no PTO) and single speed rear axle. Current mileage is 14,308 (actual), has no known mechanical issues and clean title will be provided to the winning bidder. Truck can be viewed currently at LandMark Implement (John Deere) in Smith Center or private viewing can be arranged by appointment. Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:00 PM CST, February 27th 2014.
