Conure Parrots for Sale
Hand fed 1/4 Nandey 3/4 Sun Parrots. Ready for new homes now. Mother (sun conure) talks (6 word vocabulary at age 5). Father (nansun conure) says "good night"(learned his name and several tricks by 8 months old). 50% chance infants will talk. These parrots will be 8 to 12 inches tall including tail feathers. Infants are green with touches of yellow, orange and/or red. The colors should change around 4 to 6 months old and become brighter with less green. They easily learn tricks and are the clowns of the parrot world. They are very curious and can spend hours playing on their own which I find extremely entertaining. With appropriate care they can live to 25 years of age and will bond with a person or persons given time. I DO NOT BREED for profit, my parrots began laying & hatching eggs on their own. Unfortunately my home is not large enough to keep them all. Parents cost was $350 each. Cost of infants is $175 to cover expenses, which includes hand feeding and transfer to seed and human food diet, flight training, clipping and training to fall safely until 8-10 weeks old. I do not allow my parrots to gain full flight because of safety issues, (they can land on a hot stove, die from gasses released by heated teflon pans, drown in a sink or toilet, fly into a wall and break a wing or their neck, etc.) Comfortable cage size is 16x20x14with 3/8 inch bar spacing. I purchase my cages, seed, toys and other supplies from petsolutions.com (very reliable). Infants will be hand fed and handled to acquaint them to human touch and should be eating seed and ready for their new homes within a week or so. Thank You for your interest in giving a home to a Conure parrot.
