I purchased this brand new several years ago.  I took it to my friend who is a military armourer.  We took it to his assignment at the time.  He inspected it the same way all other rifles went through his post.  Everything was good to go.
 
He is a distinguished marksman, to say the least.  I had him sight the rifle in at the military range.  He adjusted both the iron sights and the Aimpoint at that time.  The sights cowitness.  (You can easily view the irons through the aimpoint, and can optionally turn the aimpoint on to speed up target acquisition.  )
 
We finished shooting the remainder of the 100 rounds we brought that day.
 
The gun was cleaned, and I returned it to my safe.  It has not been shot since then.
 
It has been in and out of the safe for friends to look at.  This has led to some minor handling marks.  This is extremely minor, but I’m very particular in describing flaws.  I’d rather you be surprised on it being nicer than expected.
 
If you are looking for an untouched museum piece, this isn’t it.  If you are looking for one that has collected dust and a couple of handling marks only, you have found it.
