Here i have an 1835 flintlock musket. The thing is i know nothing about it! If anybody wants to make an offer or just want to help me figure out what i have and what it is worth please share. The wooden stock says 666 then 4 with a circle around the 4. About the 4 is a large X. All numbers are branded on. The barrel says 6564 with a small H and a o above the H. Above that, on the barrel, it reads 1835 followed by other markings i cnt make out. It is missing some of the works around the flint area. A 13 is stamped in that area. On the butt is a 104 then below that is a large screw to keep the metal butt on it and below that is a 2. It is a little rusted and the wood cracked... but this gun is 178 years old! A 200 year old gun is rare, has to be worth quite a little, rough stape or not. What i have looked up online it very well may have been made at Harper's Ferry. But i dnt know. Thanks for your time.
