Position Overview
Under general direction, develops, implements, evaluates, and manages the care and education of patients; supervises day-to-day activities of patient care; performs assessments of patients; attends educational in-services and coordinates the overall patient plan of care with the healthcare Providers. Coordinates the overall patient plan of care with Healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
· Provides basic nursing care within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice that includes actions that meet psychosocial needs and physical needs.
· Performs basic patient care responsibilities, considering needs specific to the standard of care for the patient’s age.
· Demonstrates ability to communicate to the RN/LPN or Provider any observed changes in patient status and responses. Maintains awareness of the needs of the pediatric, geriatric, and general patient population.
· Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
· Meets current documentation standards and policies and completes within the shift.
· Accepts other duties as assigned.
