Ellie is a well tempered, loving black lab/gsp mix.  My brother could not keep her in New Mexico (due to her barking) so he brought her to me, as we had just lost our dog of 12 years.  Ellie took to my kids right away and loves kids in general.  To be blunt, she needs exercise we cannot give her due to her being much more of a hunter.  She is very good at catching rabbits. She’s never been around shotguns, so I don’t know how well she would  as a bird dog to be honest.  She loves to smell and explore.  She is 6 years old.  She is also quite vocal.  Simply put, she is a barker.  If you have a doggie door, she is used to that.  Otherwise, she is a scratcher.  She is not a fan of storms and can sense them far before they arrive.  She also is not a fan of fireworks and would rather be inside.   If you would like her please let me know.  If you want to meet her first, that is fine too.  She is a “velcro” dog meaning that she loves to walk next to you.  I broke her of getting in my way.  She can be broke to walk by your side.  It will need more training.  Due to my job and recent health issues, I cannot walk with her as much as I would like.  She has been with other dogs and been fine.  I’m unsure of cats.  she is up to date on all shots and is registered in Hays
