This is a completely restored late 1930s Walker Turner 6” Jointer. Everything, to include the motor has been completely disassembled down to the smallest nut/bolt, paint stripped, rust removed, repainted, lubricated, new bearings, and reassembled. I restore old WW machines as a hobby and have now completed and sold 6 old jointers. It’s made of solid cast iron and the base is 6” angle iron. This thing is stable and heavy. I’m guessing the total package weighs in at around 300-350.
The motor is old school impulsion/reduction, so no capacitor. Like the jointer, the motor was completely disassembled and gone thru. If you’ve never had an impulsion reduction motor, they’re a joy to use and run forever.
I’ve made a couple of test runs with it and the new knives cut smoothly. It’s sitting in my shop until sold and you’re more than welcome to test drive it before buying. Cash only.
As I said, it’s heavy - so bring help to load it. It’ll take probably three or four guys to get it loaded. I’m willing to help, but ain’t in my 20s anymore, if you get my drift.
I get to the KC area regularly to visit grand kids and might be able to bring it along if you’re really interested.
