Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, and printers
Install, repair, and maintain computers
Configure and build servers to meet customers' requirements.
Perform hardware firmware upgrades, and learn new hardware platforms
Rack servers, install cabling, and assist with other infrastructure needs
Implement proper cable management practices
Test IT company products in accordance with company procedures and quality control standards
Basic switch and router inspection, including checking equipment status, performing factory reset, and installing or refreshing equipment images
Record and update the receipt of equipment in company inventory systems
Perform inventory audits, adjustments, and reports.
Prioritize testing orders and arrange machines for efficient testing
Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment
Contribute to team training
Help research and develop testing plan, simulation of the testing environment
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's Degrees related for Computer Science (Preferred)
1-3 years of server and computer hardware working experience
Solid working knowledge of computer hardware and software
Solid working knowledge of server hardware
Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge for server trouble shooting. Experience of the server manufacturer's diagnostic software. Familiar with, or have experience using, IDRAC, ILO, or other diagnostic software.
Working knowledge of various Linux distributions
Experience with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting rack servers and their operating systems.
Basic Network Knowledge
Understanding of different RAID configurations
Experience knowledge of Linux and Windows Server Operating System
Hardware Technician Salary: $42500-$52500
