Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - REHAB is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist.
Position Overview
Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. To restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Physical Therapist will see a wide variety of patients in our progressive rural clinic. Treatment areas include Orthopedic, Sports Medicine, Geriatric, Home Health, IP/SSB, Neuro/Balance & Aquatics. Treatment takes place in a newly remodeled facility including Aquatic therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ability to perform an appropriate evaluation on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided reassessments as per policy. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients, and the general patient population.
· Able to assess patient pain interfering with the optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
· Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
· Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
· Patients are seen via current Direct Access rules and regulations.
· Documents in EMR promptly following policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
· Current State Physical Therapy Licensure, a graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy.
· New Grads are welcome to apply.
· Current BLS Certification
· Ability to read and communicate effectively, with strong written and verbal skills.
· Intermediate computer knowledge with the ability to learn systems used.
