 Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Acute is looking for a Full-time Patient Care Technician. 

  •       Full-time position available.
  •       Evening and weekend shifts.
  •       Rotating holidays required.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • ·         Assist nursing staff with duties in Acute care, ER, and outpatient. 
  • ·         Quickly and courteously acknowledge requests, respond to duties, demonstrate proper phone etiquette, and foster communication within the department. 
  • ·        Communicate effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors, and facility staff; play an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.   
  • ·      Ensure that patient rooms are ready for admission.
  • ·         Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. 
  • ·         Verify that medical records contain complete and accurate patient demographic information, patient identification, and registration in the medical record, including appropriate level of care. 
  • ·         Ensure that patient records and charges are complete and prepared for Health Information Management’s (HIM) review.
  • ·         Follow written policies and procedures as established.
  • ·         Assist with inputting data for the department’s quality measures.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • ·         High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • ·         CPR certification required.
  • ·         Basic computer skills.
  • ·         Candidate must be adaptable and a great team player.  They would have to take instruction well with a positive attitude.
