Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Acute is looking for a Full-time Patient Care Technician.
- Full-time position available.
- Evening and weekend shifts.
- Rotating holidays required.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- · Assist nursing staff with duties in Acute care, ER, and outpatient.
- · Quickly and courteously acknowledge requests, respond to duties, demonstrate proper phone etiquette, and foster communication within the department.
- · Communicate effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors, and facility staff; play an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.
- · Ensure that patient rooms are ready for admission.
- · Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- · Verify that medical records contain complete and accurate patient demographic information, patient identification, and registration in the medical record, including appropriate level of care.
- · Ensure that patient records and charges are complete and prepared for Health Information Management’s (HIM) review.
- · Follow written policies and procedures as established.
- · Assist with inputting data for the department’s quality measures.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- · High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- · CPR certification required.
- · Basic computer skills.
- · Candidate must be adaptable and a great team player. They would have to take instruction well with a positive attitude.
