April (and her sister Stripe) have been looking for a home since September of 2023 🥲

This sweet girl is April! She’s a Female, lab mix, 2-3 years old and 50-60 lbs. 

April is a lovely girl who was so timid and afraid of the world around her when she was in the shelter…being in a foster home has allowed her to come out of her shell and become more confident! 

April does become protective of her environment with other dogs when she is off leash and she is resource guarder (so would recommend she be fed separately from other animals). She also wants what she sees others have, and will try to take toys or food from others. She would do best with kids 10 or older. 

She is potty trained, kennel trained and does well on a leash. 

She is a high energy girl and does best in a low key environment.  Would not do well with a lot of noise because of fear. 

She came from Dodge City, KS animal shelter.  She had run out of time and a great family stepped up to foster her and her sister (Stripe).
