This handsome little guy is Alfie! Alfie is approximately 7-8 months. He is a Pit mix (we do have his DNA test! )

 We originally called him Nugget when we were networking for a foster, but after hearing the story of how he was found and named after the street he was found near, his foster decided to switch his name back to Alfie. 

He came to us from Oklahoma, his story touched our hearts and we had a foster offer for him. Liz, who we worked with from Oklahoma worked hard to get him out of the shelter, she also made sure he got a health check and and helped with figuring out transport to get him here. 

He loves playing with other dogs but can get a little rough with smaller dogs; his foster says he loves dogs so much, that he should definitely go to a home with other dogs. 

He is approximately 50-55 lbs, and gaining weight everyday. He does need to be fed in his kennel and kept away from others food while they’re eating. He was skin and bones when he was found, so he tends to hog all the food and treats he can.  He doesn't like being alone but he does ok for a few hours. 

He will follow you around everywhere and be your new shadow. He needs lots of chew toys to help get out some of his puppy energy and keep him from being bored. Hes not very particular about what kind, he likes them all! 

Alfie is really smart, he's house and kennel trained and has learned to "go to your box". He can sit well, but sometimes it takes a few tries. He is not a fan of kids and would prefer adults as his new family. He's a very sweet boy and wants to please, he just needs someone to help him learn. He also likes to sleep on your feet and loves cuddles.
