Barton Community College, Fort Riley Student Services, seeks applicants for a replacement full-time Student Services Specialist. This position serves as first point of contact with all students entering the Fort Riley office, will assist students/potential students with information about programs/degrees offered and general information about the college and classes. Will also assist with all office duties including processing student enrollment and transcripts, working with multiple operating systems to assist students and staff, answering the phone and e-mail, and other traditional office duties. Must possess a significant level of dedication, trust, courtesy and tact in dealing with customers. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff; ability to work with students of diverse ages and backgrounds; ability to operate independently/multitask is a must. Experienced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required as well as effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Qualifications: A high school education or GED required; Associates Degree in Business Technology or related field preferred. Military Knowledge is preferred.
