Full Time Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate
Hays, KS

Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00 pm, Day Shift. No weekends.

Job Description

• Unload, check in and put away freight
• Pull customer orders accurately
• Receive transfer merchandise from our distribution center weekly
• Make occasional deliveries utilizing our van or box truck
• Assist where necessary to keep the warehouse organized and clean

Skills required

• Must be detail oriented
• Be a self-motivated individual and take pride that your work directly affects our customer satisfaction and success of Western Supply
• Get along well with others, work as a team, and willing to help other co-workers as needed
• Dependable and Punctual, ability to show up on time for work on time
• Capable of lifting 50lbs or more
• Capable of standing, stooping, pulling & pushing
• Must be able to read, speak, and communicate in English
• Must be able to learn & operate forklifts & stock pickers safely.
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Drug test is required

Desired Skills but not required:

If you have any of these certifications or interest in obtaining them, be sure to include these details when applying. These skills are not required for this Warehouse Associate position but for purposes of filling in as vacation backup driver for other positions the following skills are always beneficial.

• CDL Class A license or willing to obtain one
• Experience operating tractor/trailer combination
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or be able to obtain one
• Have basic understanding of tractor/trailer combination components to perform pre-trip & post-trip inspections.
