There were a total of 12 Kansas Colt Frontier Scouts issued from 1965-1971 which were all chambered in .22 long rifle. They were offered individually and once a series was finished, Colt put all four of the series into a single complete cased set. Of the 500 of these guns produced, these all bear serial number 250 and include a letter from Colt for each where a previous owner had requested an authentication and shipment history.  The Trails series were issued from 1967-69. CHISHOM TRAIL 1967, SANTE FE TRAIL 1968, PAWNEE TRAIL 1968 and SHAWNEE TRAIL 1969. These legends are on left side of barrel. All have the Colt legends on top and right side of barrel with pony in circle on frame. Finishes are blue and nickel mixed and two cylinders are not fluted. Grips are faux ivory, faux pearl and rosewood. The special four gun wooden display features a special Kansas Series Trails on lid. CONDITION: All are UNFIRED and cylinders bear no turn marks.  I am in the Topeka area, but I do travel west along I70 on occasion, so it may be possible to meet somewhere along the line.  I will check ID and provide a private bill of sale.  Ask any questions you might have.  If you look at Rock island auction history, you will see the last several sets sold for 3k plus tax.
