Description

I am the second owner of this heavy duty 2003 Ram 3500, 24-valve Cummins 5.9L with a 6-speed manual transmission, single rear wheel pickup and 263,000 miles. No rust and very well kept interior. I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it as I have only put 15,000 miles on it in the past 4.5 years I have owned it. The tires and wheels are aftermarket and like new with less than 4,000 miles on them. It is hard to find manual transmission, 1-ton single rear wheel pickups in this kind of condition.

Starts right up in all weather conditions and runs good, always maintained and shedded, 4x4 works, heat & a/c work. Rhino lined bed, B&W flip over gooseneck ball, new stainless steel step bars and bull bar, exhaust brake. While it isn't perfect, this truck is in very good condition for being 21 years old. The only issues I am aware of are as follows:

  • The blend door actuator makes a clicking noise when switching from vents to defrost or back. The clicking eventually quits but it will probably need replaced at some point.
  • There is a dent on the tailgate and near the back corner of the cab roof. These happened before I owned it. I tried to show these in one of the pictures.
  • The clutch has always felt strong and I have never felt it slip but a few times this past summer when I put it in reverse and and started moving the clutch didn't want to disengage when I pushed back in on the clutch pedal. I researched it a little and it sounds like it could be the clutch master cylinder. I didn't replace it as it only happened a couple of times and hasn't done it since it has been cooler out.
