Wow, we have a 1938 Eyeglass Case from Dr. J.E. Atwood, eye doctor from LaCrosse, KS! Sure, there are some scuffs and wear, but it looks remarkable and works perfectly - especially for being 87 years old.
The case is leather, outside; green velvet, inside...and stamp-embossed (concave) in gold. The springloaded closure works great and is hidden by leather/velvet.
Maybe you're a relative of Dr. Atwood? Or your granddad, or family, got glasses from him? In any case (😎😁), this is a wonderful, sentimental blast-from-the-past.
Sold AS-IS. We didn't try to clean it up in any way because it's authentic & fabulous as it is. And we've noticed much higher prices, but we'd rather someone get this for nostalgia...so, make us an offer we can't refuse. Receive a complimentary Lucky Charm with every purchase. 🍀
Also, bonus points if you know whose initials/the original owner of this case was.
