We are seeking the right person or couple for our dryland farm and ranch located near Damar, Kansas.

Pay would be based off of experience: Hourly

Expected hours: 40-70 per week with rotational time off

Duties would include, but not be limited to:

Cattle Work Description:

• Daily feeding, watering, checking health, calving, doctoring of cow/calf herd

• Fence maintenance, gathering and moving livestock (with ATV and pickup)

Farm Work Description: 

• Machinery operation - skid steer, truck, tractor, grain cart, planter, drill, sprayer, loader, feed truck

• Dryland crop practices - no-till farming, spraying, planting, drilling and harvesting

General Experience Preferred: 

• Mowing, weed-eating and general maintenance of residential properties

• Machinery maintenance 

• General mechanical knowledge

• Familiarity with grain elevator operating is a plus

• Welding and general construction skills are a plus

Requirements: 

• Must be able to take initiative and anticipate the next step. 

• Must be able to take direction and have good communication skills. 

• Must be dependable.

We primarily run John Deere equipment with GPS and have easy-working, gentle cattle.
