The Judy McCarty Dairy Learning Center in Rexford, Kansas is seeking a part-time Communications Assistant. Energetic, friendly, and agriculture-educated individuals will join our team and connect visitors to where their food comes from. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and educated the public about modern dairy practices and agriculture while developing valuable skills and experiences. 

Responsibilities:

• Guide visitors through the facilities, share insights about McCarty Family Farms Dairy and the broader agricultural community.
• Maintain the Learning Center's facilities to ensure an excellent visitor experience.
• Schedule and facilitate tours for groups of various sizes.
• Plan and assist with hosting school field trips and special events.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, addressing questions and presenting a positive image of the dairy community.
• Contribute to day to day Learning Center operations and logistics.
• No prior dairy knowledge is required, but it is a plus.
• Collaborate on additional projects aligned with your skills and interests. 

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently. 
• Flexible and willing to engage with various audiences, including school groups and community members. 

Salary:

• $15 Hourly

This position is open to individuals from all backgrounds; however, is best suited for those with a passion for agriculture and a desire to share that knowledge.
