71 Ford dump truck.
361ft Ford truck engine that is TIRED. It's got enough power to do some work but it's got a ton of hours and miles on it. I put a battery in it last summer and fired it up. Runs so smooth you can barely tell it's running. I drove it up and down the county road for about a mile then parked it again. Biggest issue is the shifter lever. It's worn where it goes in the top of the trans. It'll shift fine but you have to be very aware of how you're shifting or you'll end up in two different gears at the same time. Obviously this thing will likely never be dot compliant again unless you do an awful lot of work to her. It would be great around the farmyard or the feedlot but it's unlikely to be great for a daily workhorse unless you're quite handy. Box hydraulics still work as they should. Internet says it weighs 15,000 pounds and with scrap at 100 a ton we're asking $1500. We'll work with you but not give it away. The scrap iron man is less than five miles from us.
I've tried to describe it as accurately as I can without blowing any smoke. So if you want a project dump truck let me know and we'll work something out! I think it could still be a good old reliable dump truck with some work but you'll have to understand that going into it. Thanks for looking!
