Job Description:
A Care Coordinator is a multi-faceted, fast-paced role with several hats. They listen to patients and their families to ensure needs are being addressed, educate patients on medical procedures or conditions, keep patient records up to date, and act as a liaison between the patient and healthcare personnel by keeping the lines of communication flowing. The Care Coordinator position is a combination of clinical care coordination, and nursing care, including but not limited to IV services, lab draws, and patient intake.
Job Duties:
IV, IM, and Venipuncture care, including but not limited to UBI, Chelation, and IV and IM Nutrient Therapy, and lab draws, as prescribed by the doctor. All treatments shall be properly documented and billed for in a timely fashion, and shall adhere to the treatment plan outlined by the doctor.
Clinic Care Coordination Labs: processing lab orders, uploading requisitions, scheduling lab specimen pick ups. Tracking all lab orders pending results, and placing scheduled lab orders in a timely fashion. Primary management of lab results from Fax, and other third party companies such as RUPA, Quest, DoctorsData, and Vibrant America.
Patient Vitals: checking in patients, properly taking and recording vitals, including but not limited to pulse oximetry, blood pressure, height, and weight at every visit.
Supply & Inventory: responsible for proper accounting of all clinical supplies and supplements, and completing order forms as needed, routing to appropriate administrative team in a timely fashion. Item expiration date monitoring is included in Inventory tasks.
BBP, HIPAA, and OSHA Compliance: responsible for ensuring all standards of care are met in the nursing station, draw station, and IV rooms at all times; including but not limited to minimizing blood borne pathogens, upholding patient privacy, maintaining a sterile work environment, and clean space for patients at all times.
Secondary Reception: assist reception in tasks such as payments, scheduling, phones, and filing as needed; Especially on days reception is out of office.
New Patient Coordinator: primary person for triaging new patient services, adding to Charm, and scheduling.
Administrative Auditing: Primary responsible party for ensuring the following administrative tasks are completed with 100% accuracy on the following schedule.
Please note cleaning, including bathrooms, is a shared duty on a daily basis. Everyone in our office cleans.
