I bought this 4Runner with 170,000 miles, and now it has 337,000 miles. A significant chunk of those have been on dirt roads. As far as I know, neither the engine nor transmission have ever been rebuilt. The transmission still feels perfect. The engine definitely has some wear; at least one cylinder is down on compression and misses slightly when idling in gear at a stoplight, but in general it runs very well.
New timing belt, water pump, and valve stem seals at 333,600 miles
New starter at 301,900 miles
Doug Thorley headers (w/out cats)
Rancho 2" front lift struts
Currently has 235/80R17 Tires
