Meet “The Pony of Many Names” some days he’s Bruce, Nigel, Maverick, Pony. He doesn’t care. 

Pony is about 14hh maybe a little less but what he lacks in height he makes up for in width. About 7yo and GRADE. This boy is big. Easy keeper stays fat off air. He was a trail horse for beginners for a long time and decided that was not his M.O. anymore. He was bored and likes having a job. I’ll be up front and say he’s gotten 2 beginners off. He’s not a crazy bronc or any of that he’s just NOT A BEGINNERS HORSE. He could feel when his owners were distracted and he’d tuck his tail and throw in a few crow hops. Unfortunately these beginners couldn’t ride it out and he decided when he didn’t want to do something he got people off this way. He had a couple college rodeo kids ride him he tried it with no luck. He then ended up with me and has tried it twice in his time here. He’s not a hard bucker and if you can sit a small crow hop you’ve got his number. I have bothered him to the max to nip it in the bud. Things he didn’t like or irritated him I’m doing it 20 times. He now won’t crow hop but will kinda of tuck his tail and take a faster few steps if I really bother him. He’s super broke so just stop him back him and he’s fine. All that said, I really do like this pony!! I enjoy having him around but need him off my feed bill by winter. He’s had about 15 days on the pattern (videos below) I need to get videos of him just doing flat work this week. He’s got a good pivot, stop, back, W/T/C. He stands great for the farrier and is a dream to haul. If you have a punchy kid he’s the one. Perfect size, can go all day, and really is just sweet natured. If he stays around for a while I won’t mind entering him and running him I’m having fun on him.
