Description

We rescued these two beautiful dogs, 8 months ago,  one day before they were slated to be euthanized. They are beautiful and wonderful animals, who deserve a chance to live somewhere where their size and majesty is valued and where they can enjoy the great outdoors. Unfortunately, one of them has an old injury to his left front leg that causes him to limp and also keeps him from doing many things that his brother can do.

Neither brother is destructive and they have never bothered things inside the house. Theyare well-behaved and are used to sleeping in crates at night. They are not good with small furry things that run from them. So, it would be best if their new owner did not have cats or chickens or such. (Or if they could be kept separately from such tempting things as that.) We have two smaller dogs who are not nearly as well-mannered as these. One is an obnoxious pest who weighs a whopping 12 and a half pounds. They have co-existed for 8 months. So other dogs, if properly introduced, should not be a problem for them.

We do not have any children in our household, so we simply have no idea how they would be around them. The size of these two boys can be alarming to people! I estimate their current weights to be above 150 pounds.

Both are healthy and have been kept on heartworm preventives since we got them. We have several cats and feel it is simply too challenging to have to be constant peacekeepers. As I mentioned, we took them on to save their lives. Now, we would like to give them an opportunity for a better one, with someone who loves and understands giant doggies.

I had their DNA tested and they are 1/4 Anatolian Shepher, 1/4 Great Pyrenees, and 1/2 Rottweiler. Duke has the Pyreneese facee and the Anatolian tail. Boone has more of a smooth coat and more of a Rottweiler face. He also drools sometimes.

If interested, please contact me. These two, of course, are a great security system. Yet, they are very gentle and loving when youwelcome them into your home.
