Been hangin with Tovi this week.  He has been looking for squirrels and has decided he loves to sleep in a bed!  Been to Fort Dodge Soldier's Home and Sutherlands Dodge City.  Still not a fan of the unknown but is getting more and more relaxed with people and new things!!🐾🐾

We truly do not understand how Tovi hasn’t found his forever home! This boy is such a sweetheart and an absolute ladies man (with people and dogs)! He definitely warms up to men with a little patience…he just needs to know he is safe after some bad experiences with men in the past.

Hi, I’m Tovi. I’m a bit of a hunk, if I do say so myself. I’m a 3-year-old pit bull weighing in at about 60-65 lbs. I love pretty much everyone, including kids and little dogs and cats, but I can get a little testy with bigger dogs like myself. I’m kennel trained and pretty much housebroken. I’m leash trained, too, although if you don’t want me to pull on my leash, I’d recommend a gentle leader for our future long walks and other adventures outside. I am a big ball of love, who mostly just wants someone to follow around the house and show my undying devotion. I’m a chill kind of guy, kind of a small lap dog trapped in a big body, if you know what I mean. I like to go for rides and load easily into a car. I also go into my kennel without giving you trouble. People have let me down in the past; I was even once abandoned by an owner and then ended up in the shelter, but I don’t hold grudges. I’m just as ready to find my person to give my love and loyalty. If you give me a chance to show you my heart (and my very expressive eyes) in person, I know you won’t regret it.

BIOGRAPHY: Tovi is a very loving dog. He is very relaxed and chill. He enjoys chewing on bones and tearing apart as many stuffy toys as you will give him! He loves to give you lots of love and follow you around the house to make absolutely sure you are giving the exact right amount of treats! He is treat motivated and prefers to be out and about versus in his kennel. He is in his third foster home due to no fault of his own and deserves to be loved. Current foster home is providing structure and consistency that he needs, but he would benefit from another foster home where he can be more integrated into daily life with a family. 

Behavioral issues: Does hide/bury toys and guard toys but releases when treats are presented.
