We're hiring a Perioperative registered nurse (RN)! The Perioperative RN's duties include Surgery, PACU, Ambulatory Unit, and Pre-op care. This position is full-time and has a rotating weekly call.
The Perioperative Registered Nurse is a key part of the surgical team, providing leadership and direction. Their responsibilities include performing patient assessments, admitting patients for outpatient care, providing post-anesthesia care, and discharging patients. The patient assessment is an ongoing process, guiding the nurse's decisions and care provision. The Perioperative Registered Nurse ensures quality patient care during the operative or invasive procedure and maintains a constant awareness of the sterile field. They also contribute to a clean, safe environment by assisting with cleaning schedules, restocking, checking outdates, and ensuring departmental organization and clutter-free spaces. The Perioperative Registered Nurse uses professional organizations such as AORN, State Licensing Boards, etc. as guidelines for nursing practice and fosters a culture of safety for the surgery patient.
