Description
2001 dodge ram 2500 4x4 with the 24 valve 5.9l Cummins engine. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and bought it at 247,000 miles. The cab and chassis has 313,747 miles on it. I don’t know for sure if the engine has the same mileage. I suspect it has been freshened up by a previous owner due to there being no blow by, and the engine only using maybe half a quart of oil every 10,000 miles between services. The transmission is a 47re with approximately 120,000 miles on it and the torque converter.
Truck runs very well, transmission shifts smooth, new brake calipers and pads on the front axle, rear pads are 50% and I have new rear ones that will go with the truck, ball joints and steering u-joints on front axle were replaced about 4 years ago and are tight. Shocks were replaced 4 years ago as well and are still good, batteries are new, A/C blows cold, heater works great. Not a single crack in the dash, it was replaced 7 years ago. Driver seat has the usual tear you seen in most dodges.
Things the truck had when I bought it and still does:
Cylinder Head studs
Skyjacker lift kit- not sure on exact height amount
Aftermarket steering stabilizer
Edge juice with attitude programmer
150 hp aftermarket injectors
150 gph fass lift pump
S&B intake horn and cold air intake
Aftermarket HID headlights
Extra deep ATS transmission pan
Things I’ve done with the truck:
Bd diesel 3 piece exhaust manifold
Over/under Compound turbo setup, small turbo is S362 quick spool and large turbo is S475
5 ply heavy duty air-to-air boots
Hamilton Cam’s heavy duty pushrods and valve springs
Pillar gauges
4” straight pipe from turbo back to 8” axle dump
Aftermarket upgraded governor pressure solenoid and transducer
Moto metal aluminum 18” wheels and 35” tires, truck comes with matching spare
Truck is solid, has tons of torque and power and I would trust to drive it anywhere. The truck is 23 years old and has some dings and dents, rust is minimal, tailgate is the worst.
