Dog friendly: Yes with proper intros 
Cat friendly: Yes, does occasionally need reminded not to chase them
Kid friendly: Yes, may be a little too energetic for small kids 

Potty trained: Work in progress but does well if let out routinely
Leash trained: does well on a leash as long as she’s moving, working on not jumping when excited 
Kennel trained: does well in a kennel, doesn’t always go in easily
Energy level: medium/high energy level

BIOGRAPHY: Pearl is a party girl that is always ready for a good time and an adventure! She loves kids, dogs and cats, she just forgets that her “in your face” personality isn’t always appreciated by everyone she meets. She just wants to be friends and isn’t sure why everyone else doesn’t feel the same! She would do best with a large (tall) fenced yard or an active family that will walk her daily. She loves other animals (once she knows them), and especially loves wrestling 🤼 with them, not all of her foster siblings appreciate that. Pearl easily clears baby gates and regular fences. She would be great for agility if someone would work with her. She’s a fast learner and treat motivated. 

Behavioral issues: learning to stay down and not jump

HISTORY: Pearl was picked up running at large with 2 other dogs from the same home and landed in a small rural shelter. Her time had run out there and they were all transferred to DC Shelter where the other 2 were both adopted, but Pearl was not. She was running out of time and at risk of not making it out when a foster stepped up to save her. 

Adoption fee:  $135 and covers the cost of Distemper, Parvo, Flu & Boradatella Vaccines. Plus, a Rabies vaccine and a Heartworm test along with preventative.  Dogs are wormed and microchipped and spayed or neutered.  This fee also helps to cover any cost of travel getting to our rescue and around the state to foster homes and vet visits while in our care.
