Norton County Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an RN to join our healthcare team.  This position is 12-hour day shifts, with rotating weekends and holiday schedule.  This nurse provides care for the following patients: Medical, Surgical, Skilled Swing Bed, Observation, Intermediate Care, ER, and Ambulatory Surgery while working on the critical access hospital nursing unit/floor. 

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the follow: 

• Provides nursing care to patients in an efficient, professional, compassionate and caring manner
• Demonstrates ability to lead/direct a team of caregivers in providing care for a group of patients
• Responsible for assuring effective communication with patients, support persons and members of the healthcare team
• Demonstrates appropriate/safe medication handling/administration
•  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Maintain an active Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BLS upon hire, ACLS, PALs, NRP, and TNCC certification within 6 months of hire and maintained while in this position
