SOLD - Delta 12” model 11-990 drill press. I bought this new in 2000 for my then newly constructed woodworking shop. It has always been kept in a climate controlled environment and its condition reflects that and the very light use it has received. It has the table raise/lower system, the 1/3 hp motor runs on 115 power, is good and has plenty of torque. There is no run-out, the paint is pretty much flawless. Check out the drive pulleys in the attached pic, they show no wear - the paint isn’t even worn. It has the chuck. There is nothing wrong with this press save for a missing handle on the raise/lower mechanism and I’m sourcing a replacement for it right now. I’m selling this because I recently got into restoring antique woodworking machines and replaced it with a 14” Delta (DP 220) drill press I restored and don’t need two drill presses in my shop.
This is not a cheap Wen or off-brand press. It compares more directly to the Jet and Grizzly presses of this same size. Check the prices on those, then come see this one.
I get to Kansas City monthly and would be willing to bring it along for delivery to the KC metro area.
I also get to the Monument, Colorado area probably quarterly and could bring it along for anyone in the Springs or Denver areas. The same is true of anyone near I-70 between Colorado and KC.
