Fully restored Atlas 6001 jointer.  When I say fully restored I mean: the jointer and motor were completely disassembled, old paint and rust removed from every single part down to the smallest nut or bolt, new bearings in the motor and cutter head, new start capacitor, everything was repainted, wherever lubrication was required it was lubed, then reassembled.  This is basically a new jointer.  It has an original Atlas motor and stand as well as the belt guard, which is usually missing.

These jointers are American made, well constructed, solid cast iron and built to last - as its 70+ years indicate.  If you’re lookin for a jointer, go check out one at the box store then come look at this.  Ask yourself if the box store jointer will still be running in 70 years.  As an added bonus, it has a bigger motor and costs $200 less than HD is asking for their Chinese made 6” jointer.

This is the third of this particular model that I’ve restored in the past year, so I have a clue.  They’re simple to operate and easy to adjust, I’ll even include a manual.  I’m happy to walk prospective new owners thru how to operate it.  It’s sitting in my shop until sold and you can take it for a test drive before buying it if you’d like.  There is a video of it running on FaceBook Marketplace, search for it in Manhattan, KS.
