"Discovering the Treaures of Trego County" will be the theme for the annual Smoky Hill Trail Conference set for October 20, 21, and 22, in WaKeeney.  The conference will be held at the Trego County Historical Society museum.  Register on-line for this event at www.smokyhilltrail.com or you may stop by the museum and pickup a mail-in registration.  Registrations are due by OCTOBER 9th!!!

Friday will be tour of the Smoky Valley Scenic Byway, followed by a meet and greet at the commercial building on the fairgrounds.  Saturday will be some great speakers and an evening banquet.  Wrap up will be on Sunday will a few more amazing speakers.
