I have a Harpers Ferry model 1816 with stampings showing 1838. It is a cool piece of history, but I would rather have another gun I can hunt with than just a wall hanger. I wasn't able to find anything showing exactly how much it is worth, but some similar guns in the same condition were selling for around $500-$750.
