Hours of Operation: 8am-5:30pm Monday through Friday

Location: Hays, Kansas

Pay based on Experience

PTO available after 1 year

We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated repair facility. We also offer 24 hour lockout and towing services. We are searching for someone who is trustworthy, honest and reliable. We are willing to train the right person. 

Summary of Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires

• Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors

• Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately

• Schedule future maintenance appointments and advise motorists on good vehicle use

• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job

• Maintain equipment, tools, and workspace 

• Have good communication skills and teamworking skills

• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school, completion of apprenticeship, or Experience is preferred

• Must be able to lift at least 50Ibs regularly

• Must have a valid driver's license 

• Must be able to pass a drug test

• Will need own tools(some are supplied as the ‘shops’, but having your own is preferred)
