917249491 part number serial number and SearsPartsDirect .com website allow you to type in your mower serial number on their website to see if it is compatible or not with your riding lawn mower.

$70 is my bottom dollar price since these cost $420 right now with tax new.

I did not use it...just bought it from someone in case I needed to bag using my mower and I never did use it.
It looks the manual is shown online for this and people on EBAY sell the manuals for $10 also.

Since I do not know how these work, but I am sure anyone could put it together easily and even tweak it a little bit to fit on other mowers also.
