This is the 2001 model of the Trek 1000 Alpha Series. It was highly regarded in it's time as an entry level race bike and is now borderline vintage. Everything on the bike is in good shape and ready to ride, nothing needed. Selling because I don't ride it much anymore and it's too small for me. 

I have installed Kenda tires, fresh grip tape (<1 week old), different seat, and new brake pads. Everything else is original and works very well. It has the original Shimano Sora 3x8 groupset and shifts nearly flawlessly.

This is a fun and fast bike - great for students riding to class at college or just riding around town. It has been stored inside most of the time.
