I'm thinning out my knife collection and am selling one of my better knives.
I'm actually selling this knife to help cover expenses for a new below knee prosthetic leg and supplies.
This is a Randall Knives "Smithsonian Bowie" model # 12-11, I had ordered & customized in 2006 and waited nearly 5 years to receive as Randall is so popular, each knife is individually hand made, and they were that backlogged. Today they are over six years backlogged.
Like I said before, this is a Smithsonian Bowie. It has a hand made 1% carbon steel, 11 inch long blade with the top 4 1/4 inch curve even sharpened. The blade is 3/8 inches thick and almost 2 1/2 inches tall. It has a forward curved brass hilt, and a 5 1/2 inch commando shaped handle made from Mexican Desert Ironwood. On the end is an approx. 1 inch brass butt cap. This knife is worth every penny I'm asking for it.
I've had this knife in a display case, unsheathed, since I got it in April 2011. I had dehumidifying sticks in the case and I only took it out a couple times a year to give it a thin coat of oil and just give it a fine cleaning.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to send me a message anytime and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. THANKS.......
