My name is Dena Mason. My husband and I live on a farm raising wheat and running a cow/calf operation. When we were first married, I fell in love with his golden retriever, and when he died of old age, we wanted another one to grow up with our children. The love of the breed grew on me, and with living on a farm, we decided to go ahead and have one litter of puppies. Well, 10 years later, we have become a hobby breeder. All our puppies are raised around children, are vet checked from the get-go, have all their first shots, and the mother is OFA Certified. I don't own the males, because I DON'T keep my dogs locked up, and I don't always want to breed whenever they come into heat. This gives us a say on when we have pups. These pups are very healthy and were born in our basement. They were declawed on the 3rd day of life by our vet. When they were four weeks old, they had their first parvo shots and moved out of the basement. They are wormed every two weeks until they leave the nest. They will have their first vaccination shots at 7 and 1/2 weeks. These puppies are AKC-certified and come with a health guarantee and a contract. These puppies are weaned around 4 to 6 weeks. They have a nice big pen to play in outside and are moved to a clean stock trailer at night time for safety reasons. (Owls, Coyotes, bad weather, etc...) They are handled and loved from birth and are raised around kids. They are well-rounded puppies.
