I have an Arisaka Type 99 7.7 Cal Jap Rifle For Sale. Made in Kokura it is a Series 21, and was in production from 1939 to 1945. It appears to be an earlier model as it has the checkered safety on it. I was told that the bolt and rifle have the same serial number which may be somewhat rare, due to the rifle and bolts being stored in different compartments when they were shipped to the United States. The anti-aircraft wings on the site are still intact. The Chrysanthemum has been filed, but is still quite visible. There is also a canvas (?) tag on the front rifle sling that has what seems to be the soldier’s given name sewn into it. Also included is a box of Norma shells plus several additional rounds. A piece of history that has been in the family probably since just after the war. Price is pretty Firm, CASH Only
