1950s era ATLAS model 3160 table saw for sale. I bought this saw at a going out of business sale this past summer in Kinsley, Ks. The owner (who was in his early 70s) said his Dad bought it when he started the business - which was in the early 50s. However, the current owner (the founder’s son) had never seen the saw running even as a kid and always remembered it sitting idle in a shed. The only thing I could find wrong with it was the pulley on the motor. It was oversized for the saw and didn’t fit the shaft properly. I replaced it. This saw has been completely gone thru. By that I mean completely stripped down. Every bolt and screw, all the internals, the cabinet, the motor, the bearings checked and replaced as required - everything. It was all de-rusted, painted, lubed and reassembled. I rewired it and bought a NOS, period correct, Allen Bradley switch for it. It cuts beautifully. It’s Set up for 120v with a 1 HP Dayton motor. These saws originally came with a 3/4 or optional 1 HP motor. I’ll include a copy of the manual - not original.
In includes everything in the pictures EXCEPT for the blade. Since what you want to do with it drives your blade choice, there was no point in me getting one for it. The blade on it now is one of my back-up blades.
It would make a great home shop saw or maybe a dedicated purpose saw in a commercial shop. Go look at the plastic DeWalt for $650 at the box store then come take this one for a test drive. It’s plug and play. You’re welcome to try it out in my shop before buying.
I have more pics if ya want em.
