Last second shot…3….2….1…..HE MAKES IT!!! JEM Farms is over the moon proud to be offering this extremely special baby boy Holstein calf that is a week and a half old. Tag number A6092 also know as Jerrell (number 20 and biggest player on the K-state basketball team). This is the biggest Holstein we have ever seen as he is already 120+ pounds in weight. He’s got legs for days and he is going to be HUGE. If the size didn’t impress you enough he is my favorite nontypical pattern on a holstein which would be the white base with spots all over his body. I can’t say enough good things about this calf!! He was born at the KSU dairy unit at the college where students are able to be hands on with dairy cattle and learn the process of birth to milking. He comes from extremely clean lines and outstanding genetics. Has had colostrum!!! Now on whole milk protein formula and transferred without any issues! He has been vaccinated with enforce 3, Enroflex, and Bose. I did include a video of him drinking his bottle this morning along with our vaccination procedure. He is guaranteed to be scour-free, has no cough, no runny nose, is 100% healthy, and has no issues. All the calves are currently outside with access to two separate straw sheds with heat lamps to allow them to go out or decide to stay in the warmth. Jerrell is in Lindsborg Kansas at JEM Farms.
