SKIPPER
JEM Farms is very proud to start this outstanding group of babies with the cutest baby of the bunch!! Let me introduce you to tag 1178 also known at the farm as Skipper (YES, we did name this group of four after the penguins of Madagascar! The black and white seemed too fitting for this group!) This bull Holstein calf was born on January 14th, 2023, and this has been marked on the tag. He does have a chip tag in his other ear from the dairy that was used as his identification tag for the automatic feeding system. He is from a dairy in Northeast Kansas that is known for the amazing care and quality of its babies. He was allowed two days of colostrum in bottles milked from the cow. I have since put him on whole milk protein formula which he aggressively drinks morning and evening. He has been vaccinated with enforce 3, Enroflex, and Bose. I did include a video of him drinking his bottle this morning along with our vaccination procedure. He is extremely spunky, and I could sit out in the pen watching and laughing as they jump and play. He is currently weighing 85 pounds and would be a great potential for a feeder steer in the future. He is guaranteed to be scour-free, has no cough, no runny nose, is 100% healthy, and has no issues. All the calves are currently outside with access to two separate straw sheds with heat lamps to allow them to go out or decide to stay in the warmth. Skipper is in Lindsborg Kansas at JEM Farms. To schedule a time to come to see Skipper or any of the other babies we have listed please call or text 785-294-1702.
