Beautiful antique 1881 Marlin lever action rifle chambered in 38-55. Heavy octagonal barrel. With highly sought after rear tang sight. All numbered parts match, but has been rebarrelled. New barrel is beautiful. Haven't removed butt plate to check number, but I'm guessing it matches as all other numbers match. It is missing the forestock cap screw. Beautiful antique rifle. As with any antique, have checked by qualified gunsmith if planning to shoot.
