We are selling our Jeep Grand Cherokee. We are the second owners and have owned the Jeep since 2002. We just replaced the oil pump, new radiator fan, the radiator was replaced in 2017. The crank shaft sensor and a new computer were installed in July 2016. The Jeep is clean with a few dings and scrapes. It has damage to the rear bumper on both sides. The interior is in very good shape. The engine is the 4.0 6 cylinder engine.
Now the bad. The motor needs repair. Cylinder #1 has no compression and the head needs to be replaced. The mechanic said that the part is $500-800 and if they did the repair it would be about $1200-1500. The Jeep still drives and will do interstate speeds. It idles rough however. The 4X4 works and it hasn’t had any transmission issues. We also installed a 2" rough country lift kit on it a few years ago. It has been a solid SUV, but we decided to let it go.
We are selling the Jeep cheap because of the engine, it wouldn’t take a bunch of work to have a very nice vehicle. This is being sold as is.
