This 1977 Harley-Davidson XLH is one sweet machine. It has won many awards, but its no trailer queen. The numbers matching 1000cc engine has a true 10:1 compression ratio with forged pistons, dual plugged heads, Kibblewhite valves & springs, Andrews R5 cams, electronic ignition, external oil drains, an S&S Super "B" carb with a one off hand made air cleaner, etc. Kick and electric start. The trans shifts tight & smooth with some Andrews gears and a Scorpion clutch to tie it all together.
The frame is numbers matching with a Santee hardtail section on the rear to compliment the blended & smoothed front section. The triple trees have been smoothed as well as the lower fork sliders. The hand made oil tank doubles as a locking battery/glove box. Too many real custom touches too list. The pictures tell the story. This machine is functioning art.
