M101A2 Military Cargo 1 Ton Capacity Trailer

Rated 3/4 ton off road, 1 ton highway.

I've used these trailers with much bigger weights on the farm and they work great.

This trailer is in good condition - lots of surface rust and a couple places with more serious rust, but structurally good. Built circa 1980s I think. I've used it to haul rocks and gravel.

THIS USES A PINTLE HITCH. If you have a 2 inch standard receiver hitch on your truck but lack a pintle hitch (a ball won't work) I will include a pintle receiver hitch with the purchase of the trailer.

The trailer walls are aprox 20" high- and there are stake holes for you to make your own fencing. The original wood stakes/roof joists as shown are rotted/broken, but the metal brackets on those wood rails can be re-used to remake a topper if you need one. I am including the original military heavy duty tent/cover that went with it. It's old but still usuable, it has a couple holes that can be patched. 

Cargo bed is shaped similar to a full size pickup truck bed -all very heavy guage metal with drop down tail gate.

This trailer can be rigged to dump (sort of- it's not a full dump) by taking out two bolts in the front and replacing with removable pins.

With the two bolts/pins removed, the wheels have locking levers, so when you back up with the wheels locked, it dumps. When you pull forward, it pulls flat again. Doesn't reach a high angle, but for just helping to dump logs or a half load of dirt or debris it makes life a bit easier, especially if you use the tarp trick.... 

Lights do not work, I have 12V bulbs you can use to rewire and replace the 24V bulbs or you can add your own light kit.

This is a super heavy duty trailer with high clearance and its thick steel construction makes it ideal for doing mods.

It has the original military split rim wheels and military style tires the rubber tires are pretty cracked but they hold air great. I haven't had to refill the air in them in over a year. 

I do not have a title- I've been using it under the KS 2000LB city/12000LB farm operating exemption and will provide a bill of sale in case you need to tag it for your own use.

Weighs aprox 1100-1200 pound empty. 

It has manual parking breaks. There is no hitch brake actuator on this model.

It has a built in jackstand that click locks for stowing during use.
