This is the best planter I’ve been around. The guy before me took the annoying electronics off and simplified it to just do its job...plant.  It’s ground driven and as long as the hydraulics run the vacuum and the tractor moves it will plant.  The Dickey John Monitor is separate from the planting drive and simply monitors the rows.  If it quits, the planter keeps planting.

We’re getting out of farming or I would keep it.  The simplicity of this planter is what I enjoyed.  It doesn’t take up much space in the shop and travels well.  I was please with the seed spacing on corn and could adjust each row to fine tune the spacing further. 

This would be a great primary planter, or considering the wet year and planting progress, an excellent backup planter at a reasonable price.
