We are the third owner on this van. Check the CARFAX report at the link below. You'll find clean everything and detailed maintenance records for the first two owners. I can show you our records if you come to look at the van.

The engine has around 111,000 miles on it. Cobb Tire and Auto replaced the engine just before we purchased it (I'm guessing the original overheated and cracked a head.), and the engine was from a salvage vehicle with 55,000 miles on it. All the coils have been replaced since then; somebody forgot to connect one ground strap, and this burned out the coils. My mechanic finally found the missing ground about a month ago.
We've also replaced/repaired the exhaust. When the most recent coils went out, we ran it too long with the misfire, which destroyed the catalytic converter on the left bank (radiator side) and plugged the back catalytic converter. I replaced them both. I also replaced the O2 sensor and the Air-Fuel sensor on the same bank.
The tires have maybe 40% tread.
Features:
- Power windows/locks/mirrors
- Rear air
- Tinted windows
- Stow-n-Go seats
- Keyless entry
Pros:
- Solid engine; I can't remember adding any oil between changes.
- No rust-through
- A/C holds its charge
- Struts and brakes were replaced just before we bought it, brake fluid was flushed at the same time
- Transmission was flushed since we bought it; it doesn't leak
- The other fluid levels are steady enough that I've only been checking them before we go on a trip.
Cons:
- Heater door doesn't close completely (so there's always a little heat coming through the vents).
- Multiple minor cosmetic issues, inside and out, including stained middle and back seats (see photos)
- CD player doesn't work.
- Front left rotor is warped a little; steering wheel will shake a bit if you brake hard.
- Two vent louvers in the headliner don't stay completely open.
- Left sliding door doesn't lock with the power locks.
We decided against fixing the "cons" because my wife wanted to upgrade to a new van, but most of these fixes are pretty easy. I'll even fix some of them now if you don't mind paying for it.
For more photos, check out the listing on Craigslist. I've tried my best to show the cosmetic issues in those photos. The one that a camera really can't pick up is a chip in the windshield.
I think this van should still run for a while without major mechanical issues. It's my opinion that the Quest is not very far behind the Sienna and the Odyssey in terms of reliability. In fact, the Odysseys during these years often had a transmission failure before 150,000. Kelley Blue Book says this should sell for around $2000, but that's without factoring in a newer engine. I'm committed to making a fair deal, so if you find reasonable evidence that this is overpriced, I'll be happy to discuss the price with you.
