This 100+ year old bear trap is in pristine condition and is collection ready.  Springs are straight and still so strong they cannot be compressed without a spring press.  The bolts, chain and other parts are clearly hand-forged and attest to its age.  Traps of this age and quality are a rare find, AND, this trap has the trappers ID tag yet attached.  It reads Robert O. Dunning Dixfield ME. The historical records show Mr. Dunning was born in 1899 in Dixfield ME and was listed on the 1930 census.  Will ship for a fair rate.
